Since going dairy free a couple of weeks ago I wanted ALLLLLLL of the ice cream *face palm*. Today while surfing the web I can across a nice cold treat that is like a mock frosty so I decided to give it a whirl. I’m always on the lookout for something new to try in my kitchen, and this dairy free mock frosty is one of our family favorites!

Want to make a tasty dairy free dessert?
Go ahead and grab: Ingredients
Your blender, we just got a Vitamix for Christmas!
1/2 cup of Almond milk ( I used unsweetened vanilla almond milk for a twist)
1-2 tsp of cocoa powder ( I used 2 heaping tsp)
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Exactly 15 ice cubes
3/4 of a banana ( mine wasn’t frozen but I’m sure a frozen one would make the consistency thicker)
EDIT: I used a frozen banana this go round in our Vitamix and it’s thick JUST like a frosty.
Mix it in the blender and VOILA! I LOVE to keep glasses in the freezer for drinks and this tasty dessert is perfect to go in there.
I went ahead and topped mine off with dairy free Reddi whip that my husband bought me last week. YUMMMMMM
So if you’re looking for a delicious and dairy-free dessert to try, this frosty is definitely the way to go! And it couldn’t be easier to make – just blend all of the ingredients together in a blender and enjoy. I know my family loves this mock frosty as a sweet treat after dinner, and I hope your family enjoys it too. Thanks for reading, and happy blending!
