Ingredients for double chocolate banana bread
What you need :
- Loaf pan
- Large bowl
- Plastic spatula
- 2 Extra ripe bananas or brown bananas
- 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1/2 cup of butter
- The key to moist banana bread…2 oz of applesauce
- 1/2 tsp vanilla abstract
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil or vegetable oil
- 1/2 Cocoa Powder
- 1 cup of flour or almond flour
- 2 tablespoons of white sugar
- Wire rack or a cooling rack
Instructions
- Place your air fryer on a flat and food safe surface.
- Grab a medium mixing bowl and add the dry ingredients.
- Next add your melted butter.
- Mix in the wet ingredients. I mix everything with either a hand mixer or my Kitchen Aid on the speed of 3.
- Turn off the mixer and use a plastic spatula.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Put the loaf pan on the counter and use the spatula to place the mixture in the well greased or buttered pan.
- Add the pan into the air fryer and “bake” on 375 for 20 minutes.
- Stop the air fryer with 2 minutes to go to sprinkle more chocolate chips on top if you desire.
- Once the timer goes off, place the loaf pan on the cooling rack for at least 25 minutes.
- Slice and enjoy 🙂

Storage and serving
This delicious chocolate chip banana bread freezes well with a air extractor, aluminum foil and a freezer Ziploc bag. For best results I usually slice it in to 1 inch pieces that are perfect for the freezer and don’t take up too much space.
