My kids LOVE SpongeBob Squarepants. Maybe not the best choice for cartoons but hey.
So apparently the Christmas episode taught little person P and little person H to “not be a jerk on Christmas”. Of course when they first said it, it took me by surprise. I can’t say that I was super thrilled about my four-year-old running around the house on Christmas Eve repeatedly saying “Don’t be a jerk on Christmas, don’t be a jerk on Christmas” but it had a really good message that I actually really needed to hear.
One of my number one goals this year is to try to not completely lose my shit on people. While I try to hide it and keep my cool, my face NEVER lies. In fact, today when I came in, the very first thing in the morning, my entire crew knew that I was in a bad mood . One person even asked me if ” Nay Nay was here”? While I laughed it off, it had me thinking. Today was the day AFTER Christmas and I was already in a pissy mood AND already being a jerk. So….. once again I learned something from my kids; my little buddies and the best little teachers I have around now. ” Don’t be a jerk on Christmas”… or any time there after. Thanks kids 🙂
